Feel free to read thourely or between the lines :) :
I’m Diana Maties, co-founder of Life Light NZ, alongside my husband, Ciprian Maties. If you attend a training, gathering, or healing session with us, I’ll be the person guiding you.
I wear many hats—Reiki Master, Practitioner, and Teacher, Energy Reader, Certified Aromatherapist, Aroma-Touch Massage Therapist, Horticulturist, Life Waver, Artist, and Mycophile—but titles don’t define me. More than anything, I bring my full presence, energy, and gifts to each session.
I practice with passion, love, and deep gratitude to Spirit for always providing what is most needed in each session. According to numerology and astrology, my energy carries the essence of the “old, wise healer.” This explains my deep calling to support others on their spiritual journey—helping them return to their divine nature and find freedom from suffering.
One of the most defining aspects of my energy is gentleness. My clients often describe me this way, and it’s reflected in how I channel Reiki energy and share insights during healing sessions. My positivity doesn’t come from the mind’s effort but from an inner trust that everything unfolds in perfect divine order.
When I offer energy readings, I encourage clients to listen with their hearts—taking in only the messages that truly resonate. A genuine energy reading feels like your own deep wisdom rising to the surface, shining in the light.
I hold a few core beliefs in my practice:
I am a conduit, not the healer. The healing, channeling, and energy readings do not come from me, the small “I.” I simply hold space for Spirit to work through me.
Your healing power lies within you. I do not “heal” anyone; I help you rediscover your own power and raise your vibration, which shifts your perception of yourself and the world.
Empowerment through love, not fear.
I do not impose my insights—you are free to take only what feels right.
I do not see myself as superior in any way. I listen without judgment.
I do not encourage dependency on me as a healer. You are your own best guide.
During deep meditation, these words came to me, and I want to share them with you:
"I am a human being—no more and no less than anyone else—seeking to experience this lifetime, this dimension, and beyond."
Like you, I am on my own journey of self-discovery and realization. We rise together.
If my beliefs resonate with you, I would love to connect. Trust your vibration—let your intuition guide you beyond the noisy confusion. When the mind quiets, what remains is a clear, gentle, and unwavering knowing, waiting for you to follow it.
We heal and grow together because we are One.
In love, gratitude, and service,
Diana M

Chapter 1: My Awakening Journey
Starting is always the hardest part. We need to find the right energy and the right point to begin, isn’t it? After much inner searching, I finally found what felt like the right place to start: the story of my own inner awakening, or as some people call it, the beginning of my conscious journey.
Click the arrow button to read more.
I’ve shared my awakening story in person several times, especially with my Reiki students, who often ask me how things happened for me. They wonder if I was always in tune with spiritual energy, or if I was able to see beings, like angels or other entities in my childhood.. The truth is, no, I wasn't like those people who could see beings or energies for as long they can remember. Even now, I don't connect with beings in that way. Instead, I connect to Source energy, to the energy of Spirit which is within me and everywhere around, and then I call in my Spirit guides and any angelic beings who wish to support my work. However, usually I don't clearly know who the helpers are and I can only guess that there is support from other dimensions and beings that help me connect with spiritual energy. Other times the presence is strong and clear as I experienced in my “encounters” with Jesus’s consciousness, Mary Magdalene, Though or Mikao Usui’s energy..
Matías De Stefano explains that when we move beyond the rational mind, we are actually experiencing our own Self, which is part of the One Self. Because we don’t always know how to articulate this state of being, we may say, “I received a message from my spirit guides,” as we are conditioned to seek and attribute information to external sources. We apply our habitual patterns of understanding to interpret the unseen realm, yet the realm of consciousness is not governed by the physical laws of the 3D world, where we perceive separation. In the realm of consciousness, everything is One. This means that the profound wisdom we access during trance states or deep meditation cannot truly be attributed to a specific source other than Spirit—through our own Self and with the assistance of other energies that are also part of the One.
Although, my rational mind cannot grasp what happens while I sleep, during dreams, or when I drift off during energy healing sessions, at those times, I receive amazing insights, visions, or teachings—things I’ll share in this book later.
To go back to my awakening story: it began when I was about 38 years old. While the age itself isn’t the most important detail, the stage of life I was in was key. It looks like I was finally ready to embark on a new path. This aligns with my belief that everything we desire already exists as a possibility in the quantum realm, but we must be ready vibrationally to access it. Some people call this process aligning energetically, and I resonate with that term.
I became ready for this new, inner journey of self discovery after having my second child. Two children was all I wanted in terms of family. It felt like my ego or my soul had achieved what it needed to in terms of major life experiences before starting the returning to Source journey. I had created a sense of safety: I had a house, a stable career, a small mortgage left, and a family. I had reached a point where I was satisfied with what I had achieved, and I no longer felt the desire to conquer the world or become rich at any cost. In hindsight, I see this as a blessing, but I also recognize that everything comes in divine perfection. Life is perfect as it unfolds.
When you begin your conscious journey, the experiences are so profound and beautiful that you realize you never want to go back to living the old ways, following others' rules, or living from a place of fear and constant low vibrations. Once you’ve experienced what it feels like to be empowered and to express your true self freely, your desire for more inner work and growth awakens.
I must admit, I know my story may seem to go off on tangents. My mind works like a woman’s mind which is ancestrally used to look after many small things at the same time. Ideas pour and splash around one after another for me, in a non-linear way. But I promise, I’ll bring it all back together beautifully, like in a circle. It will make sense in the end and we would have dived into many details which can make a big difference in how you receive the main content. The details can be complex, and if we want to dive into them, there is much to explore and express in different ways, for different meaningful reasons.
Now, back to my awakening story. It truly began with a channeled message. I was breastfeeding my second son, Vlad, who was about six months old. It was early in the morning—around 4 or 5 a.m.—and I was in a mental space between Beta waves and a deeper unconscious state of mind. It was during this time that I received/experienced a clear message in my head saying: "Your life will change completely from now on. It will be totally different."
I acknowledged the message and its strength and clarity, but I had no idea what it meant. This often happens when the message comes from a source beyond the mind. The mind doesn’t always understand, but it’s important to acknowledge it because, later, it will make sense.
After receiving this message, I began looking for signs of how my life would change. At that time I was expecting one particular event that would change my life, without a trace of fear in me. People asked me later if I was afraid something “bad” would happen, and the answer was a positive “No”, the message I received had an emotional charge onto it, as always, which made it clear it would be a positive, exciting change.
I had a situation at our church where we wanted to baptize our second son. The priest advised us he wasn’t happy because our godfather was someone who believed in “energies”, which caused some tense discussions and tough decisions to make. Eventually, we resolved the issue, and we went ahead with the baptism. This event was part of my new journey, prompting me to acknowledge my new path and not hide it. It was about accepting and stating my beliefs into the world, beliefs which were not commonly accepted or that the church did not approve of.
Soon after, a series of events began to raise my vibration without me actively choosing that consciously. I was simply following my intuition and passions. I attended a workshop on vegan nutrition and learned how proper diet and nutrition could improve health and even resolve health issues. After that, I became vegetarian, which marked a big shift in my energy field. I noticed an improvement in my breathing: I could take in more oxygen, and it felt clearer, deeper, and more effortless.
I also felt less dependent on food thanks to not eating meat anymore. I didn’t feel that desperate, kind of animalic, instinctive need for food anymore. There was a sense of freedom and relaxation around food now. I wasn’t attached to food in the same way anymore.
Essential oils came into my life shortly after, and they had a profound impact on my health and my spiritual journey. I had always loved fragrances, but now they served a more significant purpose. The use of essential oils not only benefited my physical body but also my emotional, mental, and spiritual energy. I remember using Myrrh essential oil in my diffuser while I slept, and after a week of doing so, I felt a noticeable shift. I felt more connected with myself and more aligned with higher vibrations.
Looking back, I realize I wasn’t fully aware of what I was doing at the time. I was simply following my intuition. But in hindsight, I can see how all these steps were leading me to raise my vibration. I followed my passions, which were guiding me toward rediscovering my true self.
Soon after I started feeling a deep sense of sadness and depression while working in my corporate job. I realized I was no longer aligned with it. I didn't feel a purpose there, and I felt disconnected from anything happening there. At that time, I had started an aromatherapy course and was planning to transition from my corporate job to my own business.
When my son Mihai turned five and started school, it felt like the right moment for me to make the big leap into the unknown. I couldn’t imagine him going to school, then being in after-school care without me knowing how he felt or if he was okay. I couldn’t bear the thought of him being with strangers and not being looked after well. So, this motivated me to quit my job and focus on my part-time aromatherapy business.
At first, I named my company Lifelight Aromatherapy, but then I transitioned to Lifelight as I moved from aromatherapy to Reiki. I realized that while giving aromatherapy massages, I could sense the energy fields of the people I worked with. I became curious about why and how I could feel this energy, so I decided to learn Reiki and dive deeper into the mysteries of the energetic world.
I began with Usui Reiki Level 1 and also took a course on psychic abilities, which helped people discover and strengthen their intuitive gifts. After completing my Reiki Master/Teacher Level, I felt empowered to practice Reiki. Soon after, someone contacted me asking if I could teach him Reiki, so I organized my first Reiki course. That person didn’t show up, but I was grateful for pushing me to teach. Other students came to that very first class, and that’s how I began teaching Reiki, pushed by the universe through a stranger.
What I want to share is that my awakening journey really meant raising my vibration. I remember a teacher once told me that during her own awakening, “her spirit guides kept telling her” to keep her vibration high. She was guided to do everything she could to raise and maintain her vibration, and I believe this has been my journey too.
It started with becoming vegetarian, using essential oils, and eventually quitting a job that no longer aligned with my purpose. Reiki came into my life, first for myself, then for others, as a business, and eventually as a teaching practice.
I would like to mention that the beginning of an awakening can start in three mainly different ways, as trinity is at the base of our reality. It can begin with the physical body—through detoxification, which raises your vibration. It can start with the mind, where deep understanding leads to a shift in energy. Or it can start at the spiritual level, through an epiphany or a sudden insight. But no matter how it begins, all these paths lead to the same goal: raising your vibration at an holistic level as each of the three aspects influence the other two, and together they will allow a spiralling evolution of who you are, or remembering to be.
I believe that, for you as well, your awakening journey was the start of a vibrational raise. You may want to have a retrospective look at how things have happened for you.
If you are still committed to elevating or maintaining a high vibration as your main state, there are many ways to do so.
Beyond the fundamental aspects of well-being—such as healthy nutrition, restful sleep, physical movement, socializing and engaging in activities you love—there are numerous other practices you can embrace, depending on what resonates with you at this moment. These may include meditation, breathwork, sound baths, healing sessions, spending time in nature, connecting with Mother Earth, the elements, trees, plants, bees, gardening, crafting, making art, and more. Only you know your passions and where your heart pulls you..
A key point is to choose your activities not because they are generally recommended, but because they truly speak to you. Select what you resonate with, what you enjoy, and what brings you a sense of flow—where time either flies by or seems to stand still. When engaging in your chosen activity, you should feel free, self-expressed, authentic, and joyful, perhaps even discovering a deeper sense of purpose.
Remember that maintaining a high vibration requires daily attention. To achieve the desired results, your chosen activities must become a way of life rather than something done sporadically or shallowly. And then, when the winds of life blow stronger and balance is lost, just navigate the waves without feeling bad about having low energy or vibration, or not being in the best mood, shape, or state. The second arrow—the one that judges you as not good enough—is actually worse than the life experience itself.

If you’re reading this book, I’m assuming you’ve already started your own awakening journey. You may be able to look back and remember when it started. Reflecting on your journey and journaling or recording about it can help you become aware of specific details, which may help the present you. You can grow and expand as much as your roots are well grounded and established. Whether it was through a physical detox, a deep understanding, or a spiritual experience, it all plays a role in your spiraling journey of self-discovery.
Chapter 2
Live from beyond the mind
The message below came to me as an inner realization, a kind of download during meditation. This type of download is essentially one’s own deep wisdom rising to the surface of consciousness—a higher-self wisdom, which is one with the wisdom of universal consciousness. We all have access to this guidance when we manage to quiet the mind’s chatter.

(You only need enough trust, dedication, and patience to allow stillness to settle in. From this stillness, the voice of God will emerge.)
I asked God/Spirit to help me navigate these times of uncertainty and chaos, (during Covid times) and to grant me the understanding and empowerment I need to find inner peace. And as always, I received what I asked for. We always do—with the condition that our vibration aligns with our desire and no inner conflict/energy going against, prevents us from entering the vortex of creation. The guidance was: “Let go of the mentally constructed scenarios.” .. but what does that really mean and how to do it??!!
I’m sharing these insights because they address a common struggle in human consciousness today: the attachment to old, familiar ways of living and the anxiety that comes with embracing the future.
In moments of stillness, I realized that my main fear about the future wasn’t the unknown itself—it was instead the fear of losing the life I know, the path I’ve built, and the sense of safety it has given me. The future I was projecting felt unpleasant compared to the reality I was experiencing at the time because it was shaped by a low vibrational state caused by tiredness and rooting in the fears and the worries of the rational mind—creating distressing scenarios.
We need to understand and accept that the rational mind has one primary task which is to keep us alive and, therefore, safe in the form we are now. For this reason fear of death, or non-existence in form, will create stories in our minds meant to keep us safe in our comfort zone. The mind task is neither good nor bad,it is its nature and purpose. And then, going further on our path beyond physical survival and onto our quest to self expression and inner peace we need to let go of the attachment to any mind-made scenarios of the future and instead drop into the heart’s power and wisdom—only then will you be set free.
For letting go of these unpleasant scenarios we need to see them running in our mind and consciously decide we want to stop the negative mental flow. To see your thoughts you will need enough presence already built in your energy field, through meditation and self observation, to be able to take the observer's place and witness your thoughts rushing and building-up.
The entry point into stepping back and becoming aware of yourself can also be noticing the contraction of our physical and emotional body. If we notice contraction and pay some attention we will easily discover the cause of the contraction as rooted in the stream of thoughts. Once we see the unpleasant thoughts, we can then easily embrace them in acceptance and can consciously let them go, by loosening the grip of the rational mind, relaxing and focusing on a deeper place rooted in the heart and faith. We can release the mind-constructed future, and in doing so, we set ourselves free. That freedom will let us feel inner peace.
We can still envision our future, set intentions, and plan ahead, but do so through imagination, heart’s desire, and passion. If you rely solely on the rational mind, it will not take you far; instead, it will find obstacles to convince you to stay safe, avoiding the unknown and any exciting endeavours.
Do not worry—you will have great power to make choices when the time comes without a scenario background of things going “wrong”. Letting go of worry doesn’t mean losing control; on the contrary, it strengthens you by preserving your energy for when it’s truly needed.
I am not afraid of the future—I feel guided and supported—but a worrisome mind still creeps in sometimes, especially when I catch a cold or feel extremely tired. This was the next level of awareness I had to consciously work on. Spirit reminded me that I had recently asked for challenges to help me grow. It also showed me that I have the choice to shift my perception—to see any present of future challenges of the external world as opportunities for expansion rather than obstacles.
Good times are for us to enjoy, and challenging times are for us to remember our wisdom.
At any given moment, you have the choice to live your karma or your dharma—what you need to learn or what you have already learnt, not necessarily through hardship but also through wisdom, clear inner vision, and the knowing of the heart.
As free, divine beings, we always have the choice to either surrender to the physical laws that shape our perception of reality as it is or to acknowledge the laws of the universe, where we, as points of consciousness, have unlimited power to attract and manifest a physical expression of our deepest desires—desires so profound that they shape the vibration of our energy field.
I don’t know if my words can create a shift in your energy field because firsthand experiences are always more powerful. They resonate within your personal energy field and shape your vibrational frequency. That’s why I encourage you to seek the support and answers you long for in your own stillness. Anything you have learnt theoretically will help in that moment and expand into a deeper realization.
Know that the mind requires at least 20 minutes of partial rest to settle. Don’t approach meditation with the expectation of receiving something. Instead, trust that God/Spirit will always provide exactly what you need in that moment.
A pure heart-intention shapes your energy field, so it’s important to set one in your meditation or prayer, affirming that you remain open and trust in receiving what is meant for your highest good. Your vibration—not really your words or thoughts—is what the universal consciousness hears and responds to!
Become aware of these universal laws. Be your intention, with all your heart, thoughts and actions.

The 12 Laws of the Universe are:
Law of Divine Oneness – Everything is connected; our thoughts, actions, and energy influence the world around us. Separation is an illusion.
Law of Vibration – Everything, including our thoughts and emotions, has a unique vibrational frequency that affects our reality.
Law of Correspondence – The patterns we see in our external world reflect what’s happening inside us ("As above, so below. As within, so without").
Law of Attraction – Like attracts like; our energy and thoughts shape our experiences and what we manifest in life.
Law of Inspired Action (Trinity) – Taking meaningful steps towards our goals aligns us with our desires and helps bring them to reality. Spirit, Mind and Deed need to align for conscious manifestation.
Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy – Energy is always in motion and can be transformed; we can shift negative energy into positive outcomes.
Law of Cause and Effect (Karma) – Every action has a corresponding reaction; what we put out into the world comes back to us.
Law of Compensation – The universe rewards our efforts in ways that may not always be immediate or obvious.
Law of Relativity – Everything is relative; challenges are opportunities for growth when compared to our experiences and perspectives.
Law of Polarity – Everything has an opposite; understanding contrast helps us appreciate the balance in life (e.g., light and dark, good and bad).
Law of Rhythm – Life operates in cycles; recognizing these natural rhythms helps us navigate challenges and embrace change.
Law of Gender – Both masculine and feminine energies exist in all things, and balance between them is essential for harmony and creation.
Before you begin, you may need to read the entire script first.
Lie down in a comfortable position in a quiet or natural environment. Close your eyes and start by focusing on your breathing. Let your breath flow in and out naturally, simply observing it as it moves through you.
With every exhalation, feel your body relaxing. Your shoulders drop, and the muscles in your entire body release tension. Know that you don’t need to hold tight onto your body—you can simply relax and let Mother Earth sustain you.
As you breathe, with each exhalation, you may notice your headspace becoming lighter and your heart space growing stronger. Your shoulders drop even more. You relax deeper and deeper. With every breath, your heart space expands, becoming more open and at ease.
Now, take some deep breaths:
A long breath in … and a long breath out.
Again, a long breath in … and a long breath out.
Continue this for a few more rounds.
If you feel any emotional release in your solar plexus or heart space, allow yourself to let it out. Feel free to make a sound of release, like “haaaaaa…”
Now, begin breathing with a steady rhythm:
Inhale for the count of 3 … Exhale for the count of 3 … Pause for the count of 3.
Inhale for the count of 6 … Exhale for the count of 6 … Pause for the count of 6.
Inhale for the count of 9 … Exhale for the count of 9 … Pause for the count of 9.
When you reach the pause, stay there for as long as you can without breathing. Then, begin breathing again—not because you must, but simply because your body needs oxygen and prana. However, keep your focus on the spaciousness and stillness of the pause after your exhalation.
This stillness is the place of your conscious awareness—where everything can be observed. All of your thoughts, emotions, actions, and experiences exist in this space, whether you are aware of them or not.
If you are unaware of them, it means that things happen automatically, unconsciously—as an expression of who you are in this moment. But every moment also holds the possibility of awareness.
When you enter the state of observation, you take back control. You are in charge, and you have the freedom to choose. You can let go of thoughts or emotions in one instance, as you decide so. The shift always begins inward, and from there, it influences your decisions, actions, and choices. Decide you want to relax, focus on the breathing, or if you can, on the spaciousness after your exhalation, knowing that where your attention goes your energy flows. This practice will raise your vibration and will bring relaxation, good sleep and more positive, higher vibrational emotion and thoughts will flow in.
Building the energy of The Observer within your energy field allows you to watch yourself closely in everything you think, feel, do, and choose. This self-awareness grants you the freedom to consciously choose your path—to step out of unconscious patterns and into the light of your consciousness.
From this place, you gain a clearer perspective. There is enough space within you to allow you to step back, observe, reflect, and to take charge of your journey.
